Reuse Denim “Quilt Coat”

Sustainability means a lot to me! So when @kancanusa shared that they would supply me with denim to create something I could reuse I thought I'll make a quilt. But with winter upon us I wanted to create a warm coat to wear. I then thrifted a sweater to line my jacket and headed off to my sewing machine. At first I made various blocks with the different shades of denim.

From small to large blocks my favorite being the diamond block. I pieced them together to create a fashion piece I love. And it warm enough to wear through an NYC winter.
